The National Association of Wildlife Emergency Services (“NAWES”, “we”, or “us”) Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) covers the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information that may be collected by us any time you interact with the WildHelp mobile device software application (“WILDHELP App”, the “Application”, “WildHelp Application”), the WildHelp website (“Site”), and any other mobile or web services or applications owned, controlled or offered by National Association for Wildlife Emergency Services (collectively, the “NAWES Services”), such as when you download or use the app to find help for an animal in distress.
“Personal information,” as used in this Policy, means information that is directly associated with a particular person, such as name, and telephone number.
In order to provide various types of services or information to you, we may request personal information. For example, personal information will be requested when you use the WildHelp Application.
The only personal information we collect is information that you provide, and your current GPS location when using NAWES Services to locate assistance for an animal.
If you provide your email, we may, from time to time, send email communications containing updates or information related to the WildHelp app or NAWES Services.
Our policy is to not make personal information provided available to anyone other than our employees, staff and agents, except in the limited circumstances described in this Policy.
Third parties providing services, such as a wildlife hospital you’ve chosen to send information to, will have access to the limited personal information you provided, and your GPS location at the time you contacted them.
Additionally, we may release personal information to third parties to comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order. Additionally, we may disclose personal information where we believe doing so is reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent harm, fraud, abuse or illegal conduct, or to protect the safety and security of other users of our Application or visitors to client websites.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We maintain a variety of physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to protect the personal information you provide to us. For example, we have adopted commercially reasonable tools and techniques to protect against unauthorized access to our systems. If we charge users fees in connection with our Application, we will use a secured/encrypted server for online credit card payments as and when payment systems are introduced into our environment.
We reserve the right to revise or update this Policy at any time. If we make any changes to this Policy, we will post the updated Policy and will update the date at the top of the page.
